air conditioner leave it on or turn it off to save money?
Is it beneficial (money wise) to leave an air conditioner running 24 hours 7 days a week than to turn it on and off each day?
Its better to leave it on and just bump it up. A/C units take a lot of energy to restart and cool off the whole home again. Its easier on the unit and your pocket to just bump it up to 80/85 while your gone and when you get home slowly turn it down by 5 degrees. Don't do it all at once just slowly adjust the temp in the home and it will help save energy/money.
