what does liquid vaseline do to hair ?

Im trying to use more natural products in my hair. Today I went to purchase some coconut oil unfortunately finding none that had the one ingredient of COCONUT OIL. All of them were mixed in what some other crap. But anyways I found one that seemed pretty natural and bought it. When I left the store I realized there were two ingredients on it, Liquid Vaseline & Coconut oil. I want to know what liquid vaseline would do to my hair and is the coconut oil still natural ? Helpppp.
